With the recognition of the Ministry of Culture, Proceno will host the Proceno Musica Festival from September 6 to November 2, 2025: the four concerts scheduled for the Itinerari Musicali Francigeni series will be maintained and joined by another fifteen events.
The rich and varied program features some of the most important figures on the Italian music scene, including members of the Rome Instrumental Ensemble, who have supported the project since its inception. The artists involved include Marco and Teresa Ceccato, Minni Diodati, Salvatore Carchiolo, Luca Cola, the Ottoboni Academy, pianist Michelangelo Carbonara, violinist Carlo Parazzoli—first violin of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Symphony Orchestra—contralto Lucia Napoli, and the vocal quartet Extravocalia. Numerous events will take place inside Palazzo Guido Ascanio Sforza di Proceno , an exceptional setting that will host many of the festival's initiatives. The event will feature music and spoken word performances such as "Tapum ," dedicated to the drama of war, and a tribute to the repertoire of Lina Cavalieri. The festival will also host the Sonora Sax youth orchestra, composed of sixty saxophonists, along with the Nema group and the Il Soffio di Parthenope project. Thanks to the collaboration with the Cooperativa di Comunità , some already scheduled initiatives will be integrated into the program, including a concert for medieval voice and harp and a performance by actor and author Ascanio Celestini . Among the new features is a new original production funded by the Lazio Region, entitled "Recipe for a Pastiche ." The initiative will be officially inaugurated, in agreement with the municipal authorities, on Friday, September 26 .
