PROCENO: A REVITALIZING VILLAGE
Proceno is a village full of places that still tell their story. Streets, gates, churches: every place tells a story. Each one had a purpose, a time, and a meaning. These signs are still visible today, part of the landscape, shaped by time.
Walking through the old town or along the Via Francigena, you’ll see the Rocca (the fortress), the ancient walls, Palazzo Sforza, and churches in the village and countryside. Some have frescoes and sculptures, others are simpler, but still meaningful. You’ll also find the Stridolone stream, historic gates, and views over the valleys.
Proceno is not a place to rush through. It’s a place to explore slowly, step by step. Its beauty is in the details, in the materials, in the quiet. To really understand it, you need to slow down.
