Proceno: A revitalized village
Proceno is one of the villages chosen at a national level to implement a relaunch plan financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), as part of the project “Attractiveness of Villages”, promoted by the Ministry of Culture. The village was selected for its history, the quality of its landscape and its potential for development in a cultural, social and economic key. The project, Proceno Borgo di Rigenerazione , involves the entire community in an integrated path that aims at urban redevelopment, the enhancement of the historical heritage and the creation of new opportunities for those who live or wish to live in this area. Palazzo Ascanio Sforza is transformed into a multifunctional center, with spaces for culture, training and shared work. Artisan workshops, educational courses and initiatives aimed at supporting local businesses are activated. A central role is played by the community cooperative, which was created to promote active participation of citizens and develop services capable of generating shared value. All these interventions strengthen the bond between past and present, helping to make Proceno a more welcoming, more habitable place, more capable of communicating with those who pass through it and with those who choose to stay. Within this regeneration process, a fundamental tool also takes shape: the Proceno digital platform . A space designed to connect people, resources, initiatives and visions. The platform collects and tells the life of the village: its places, events, services, cultural and productive activities, the realities that make it alive every day. Through thematic itineraries, multimedia contents, maps and insights, it allows citizens and visitors to orient themselves and participate in the growth of the territory. The site was created to enhance and network the energies of Proceno. Local companies, associations, artisans, producers find a space to make themselves known, propose experiences and tell their work. It is a place where personal stories intertwine with collective ones. Where the calendar of events is accompanied by practical information on where to sleep, eat, discover or buy. Where those who live in the village every day talk to those who visit it, and where the story of the present opens up to new perspectives. The digital platform of the village
